KMSD Engineering Consultants is a one hundred percent HDI, fifty percent female owned equity multi-disciplinary consulting engineering and project & construction management firm. The company offers independent technology-based professional services in the built environment. The services offered range from concept development to project commission or an involvement at a particular stage of the project life cycle. It is an engineering consulting and management practice with competence in water resources development, property development, municipal infrastructure, buildings and structures, transportation infrastructure and environmental solutions.
The company has its headquarters in Gauteng and has a strong presence nationally with projects in Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape and North West Provinces. The company has 5 provincial and regional branch offices.
Structure
The company is structured to optimally operate maximising the resources available. Most of the staff members within our company are from historically disadvantaged communities.
The objective of the company is to meet the needs of the client, by providing proficient and specialised consulting engineering services. Communication is of the utmost importance to achieve this and we therefore appoint a senior member of the company as a leader for each project. This director is not only involved in the client liaison, supervision and management of the project, but is also an active participant of the design team and preparation of the contract documentation. The procedures adopted are geared to provide a quality final product to the client.
Where communities are affected, projects are structured to allow community input and participation in the planning, design and implementation stages. This transparent process of approach allows the community to participate on an equal level with professionals and transfer of skills and empowerment of the community to take place. Job creation and training form part of the overall strategy in the execution of the projects assigned to the company.
